មាតុឃាតកៈ

ភាពយន្តនិទានជាតក "មាតុឃាតកៈ"​ បុរសម្នាក់ជាកូនកត្តញ្ញូរស់នៅជាមួយម្ដាយ។ក្រោយមកមានប្រពន្ធក៏នាំម្ដាយក្មេកនិងម្ដាយខ្លួនមកនៅជុំគ្នា។យូរៗទៅប្រពន្ធខ្លួនធុញទ្រាន់នឹងម្ដាយទាំងពីរ ហើយក៏រកវិធីកំចាត់ម្ដាយក្មេកចោលដោយនិយាយញុះញង់ប្ដីគ្រប់បែបយ៉ាង ប្ដីហេតុតែស្រលាញ់ប្រពន្ធពេកក៏ជឿតាមទាំងអស់។ប្ដីបានរៀបគម្រោងសែងម្ដាយទៅបោះចូលទឹកអោយស្លាប់តាមប្រពន្ធ តែគាត់មិនដាច់ចិត្តក៏សែងម្ដាយរបស់ប្រពន្ធទៅបោះចោលវិញ ធ្វើអោយប្រពន្ធខឹងណាស់ ហើយក៏ញុះញង់ប្ដីអោយសម្លាប់ម្ដាយក្មេកម្ដងទៀតអោយបាន ប្ដីគ្មានជម្រើសក៏ព្រមសម្លាប់ដោយដុតម្ដាយខ្លួន។ម្តាយមិនស្លាប់ហើយដើរទៅផ្ទះវិញយកមាសប្រាក់អោយកូន នាងកូនប្រសាក៏សប្បាយចិត្តចង់លោភលន់ បានអោយប្ដីដុតខ្លួនដើម្បីបានមាសប្រាក់ដែរ តែពេលដុតទៅប្រពន្ធត្រូវស្លាប់ដោយសារភ្លើង។

Over time, his wife started to get annoyed with her own mother and mother-in-law. So, she planned to get rid of both of them by inciting her husband. The husband believed his wife and planned to drown both mothers to die. But, he did dare to do it, so he chose to abandon both mothers in the forest instead which made his wife furious. The husband had no choice, and burnt the mothers alive. However, the mothers did not died and brought home golds. When the wife saw them, she started to feel greedy and asked her husband to burn her too to get more golds. Unfortunately, she was burnt to die.
